Sponsored by Ben Hopkinson Music Tuition.
A student of Ben’s who is learning piano with him got in touch with me following the first Young Guitarist competition. He was stoked about the idea of putting some gear in the hands of young guitarists and went to buy something for competition #2. He was also motivated by Ben Hopkinson’s teachings, as he says “Ben has got me playing to a standard where I surprise myself how good I’m getting, then laugh in disbelief, then cry a bit because I never thought I’d be able to do it”.
This is the same vibe as competition #1, we are looking for a young guitarist who is very keen to learn guitar and practising all the time, but with limited equipment. It might be that they want to get into electric guitar but are struggling with an old school nylon acoustic at the moment. Or maybe a tired electric guitar that might just be ready for the spare parts drawers.

We have a Squier Stratocaster, Hartwood practice amp and 1/4” jack lead. It is used gear like last time, but very presentable. Set up and restrung in the workshop.
To enter, we just need to identify young guitarists that are learning and would benefit from this gear. Comment below, use the contact page on the website, call James on 07950879867 or email agrajagguitars@icloud.com. Entry must be made by the parent or legal guardian of the young guitarist. Briefly outline why your young guitarist would be suitable for this equipment. Please do not use the names of the young guitarists, or post pictures of them. Safeguarding is our highest priority.
Deadline is Friday 13th October. All entrants will be informed of the outcome.
