Some of the guitars we worked on in December 2023.

Although we had the privilege of working with many superb instruments, I think my favourites were the Tokai Flying V and the special edition Wolverine Les Paul.

Gibson Les Paul Standard

A Les Paul which suffered smoke damage in a house fire. I re-fretted with Jescar 55090 nickel wire, the same dimensions used by Gibson. Fretboard and nitro finish were restored, and the hardware was thoroughly cleaned and polished. This was a long job but great to see the final result 😁

Sterling JP

Setup & replacement of the stock bridge with a Gotoh 2 point tremolo.

PRS SE Custom 24 Standard

These things are ace; setup and restring.

The real McCoy, upgraded with Sunbear pickups which sound amazing.

Ibanez S2170FB Prestige

This is a brilliant guitar, thin bodied, made in the Fujigen factory in Japan. The the bubinga top is lovely, and it’s amazing to play. Set up with D’Addario 9-42XS, this was a bit of a jump as the customer usually has 10-46XL. He found the lower tension and more slippery XS strings odd at first but now he’s converted 😎👍🏻

Fender Jaguar

Setup with heavy gauge strings and a slightly higher action for big boy jams 😎🤘🏻

Epiphone SG

Pickup swap. Which one do you prefer?

Electric ukulele

Roughly the same size as a tenor uke, but electric Les Paul style! Genuinely wicked.

Post-Bigsby installation removal of tailpiece posts, plugging holes with sapele dowel, capped with matching grain ash laminate, colour match and lacquer patching.
