Full custom builds

Starting at around £1500 we can help you design a guitar from scratch. You have total creative control.

We will make a technical drawing with your guidance, then agree wood, hardware and finish choices. It usually takes most of a year from planning to completion. There is no CNC, the majority of the work is done with hand tools such as planes and files.

Pictured here is a custom build which was completed in April 2023 for Dave Anderson from the superb Teesside metal band motions.

Custom builds don’t have to be expensive, we can start with a donor guitar and customise it with your design. This one was a stock Ibanez RG7321. A custom pickgurd was made, a Seymour Duncan pickup installed and a single volume knob with CTS pot. A Graphtech nut and Hipshot locking tuners keep the tuning stable and the tone solid. Total spend £300.

Sapele body with chambering, bubinga plates to cover the chambers. For some reason, possibly exposure to solvents, decided to make the truss rod cover into an eagle head.

Headless build inspired by Skervesen

Neck thru flamed maple, wenge and black limba. Black limba wings and ABM headless tuners.

Bonkers build with no knobs

Possible the product of being in a small workshop for too long with the top left off the turpentine. Black limba body with inlayed wenge pickguard. Birdseye maple and wenge set neck, ziricote fretboard. No knobs, just a hidden selector switch on the side.
